✨Keep Chasing Wonder: An Invitation to Notice
Lately, I’ve been signing my emails with, “Keep Chasing Wonder.”
But, what does that mean exactly?
I remember when I really started thinking about this concept – when I was doing a Max Lucado Bible study.
He shared something that stopped me in my tracks:
“All too often we grow comfortable
in a life that we see, touch and
manage on our phones. But Jesus
said “unless you become like little
children you will never enter the
Kingdom of Heaven.”
A child lives in constant wonder
and faith in the unimaginable.”
I couldn’t shake those words.
Because somewhere between busy schedules, notifications, routines, responsibilities, and trying to hold everything together…many of us stopped noticing wonder.
Children don’t.
Children still believe ordinary
moments can become adventures.
A cardboard box becomes a spaceship.
A flashlight becomes treasure-hunting gear.
A puddle becomes an ocean.
A backyard becomes a safari.
And maybe that’s exactly why Jesus pointed us toward them.
Not because children know more.
But because they EXPECT more.
It’s the I CAN’T WAIT philosophy.
They believe there is still magic to uncover.
They notice ALL the beauty.
They see all the goodness to discover.
That’s the heart behind Magic Minutes Club.
It was never just about activities.
Let’s be real…we have enough activities.
It is about helping families reclaim tiny moments that wake us back up to wonder again.
The five extra minutes snuggled under a blanket fort..
The silly dinner conversation that turns into belly laughs.
The scavenger hunt on a summer evening.
The whispered “Look at the Moon!” from the backseat.
These moments seem small.
But they are shaping the way our children experience love, connection, faith, imagination, and belonging.
And maybe…they are shaping us too.
That’s my hope.
Because I think wonder changes us…in the best way!
Wonder slows us down long enough to notice.
Wonder reminds us that connection matters more than perfection.
Wonder helps us see God in everyday moments.
Wonder pulls us back toward childlike faith in a world that constantly pushes us toward distraction.
So when I sign off with Keep Chasing Wonder, it’s more than a cute phrase.
It’s an invitation.
To look up.
To lean in.
To believe there is still goodness worth finding.
To become more present.
To protect imagination.
To create memories that our children will carry long after childhood ends.
And maybe most importantly, to never lose the childlike awe that reminds us life was meant to be deeply felt, not just managed.
Keep Chasing Wonder,
Brandi
